Samsung updates Galaxy tablets

Samsung, Apple's biggest competitor in the market for iPad-sized tablet computers, is updating its line to include a feature that lets a tablet act as a universal remote control for an entertainment centre.

The storage space on the new Galaxy Tab 2 will also be expandable with small memory cards.

After the disappointing LiveView failed to make much of an impression when it launched in 2010, Sony surprised us when they revealed yet another wearable device — the SmartWatch — at this year’s CES. LogMeIn's Presents Cubby: Cloud Sharing Service

Ready for yet another option in world of cloud storage services? LogMeIn today announced it's ready to get in on the remote storage action with its own offering, built atop its Gravity Data Service, dubbed Cubby. Currently in beta, Cubby allots you 5GB of storage in the cloud, while allowing you to turn your Mac, PC and any folders into "virtual cubbies." 

With webRTC In Chrome No Need For Skype Anymore

It has only been a few months since Google turned on WebRTC in Chrome’s developer channel. Now, support for the HTML5 realtime audio and video specification is available in all Chrome builds (though it’s still hidden behind a flag on the stable channel).
WebRTC has already been billed a “Skype killer” as it can adeptly handle voice and video chat on the web, and it’s perfectly suited to apps like Google+ that want to offer plug-in free communication to their users.

Q1 Nokia Sales: Two Million Lumia Phones

Nokia has released some details on its latest sales figures for its new Lumia range of Windows Phone devices, and the company has sold a total of two million Lumia Windows Phone smartphones in quarter one of 2012.

Nokia also announced some preliminary information ahead of the release of its quarter one financial results, and it looks like Nokia will make a loss of around 3 percent below their ‘break even’ figures.

From Now On Google Currents app is with International Support, Offline Reading


Folks in the US have been able to use the Google Currents app to read various websites with more of a magazine-style layout since late last year, and now those outside the country can finally get in on the act as well. Google has today rolled out version 1.1 of the app for Android and iOS, which makes the service available worldwide with support for 44 languages, and adds a number of other improvements including offline reading, instant online sync, translation for 38 languages and a promised 7X performance boost.
